A process that cuts different metals of different thickness by using a plasma torch is called as plasma cutting and in this process, generally inert gases are used and it is blown at a high speed with an electric arc formed through the gas. The welding machines that is used for doing this process is called as plasma cutter and it is a welding tool that creates a thin stream of plasma and the plasma is so sufficient to melt the metal with smooth and clean process. The cutter has a channel in which the electric arc is passed through a gas and the gas becomes so hot and ionizes

Simply put, welding is a metal fabrication process by which two pieces of metal is connected into a huge structure. The location to be joined is heated to melting using torch or electrical arc and additional metal material in the form of welding rod or welding wire is used to fill the gap.

Proper information on the welding process is necessary for those who wish to learn welding and also for those who wish to improvise their welding skills. Most often people are interested to begin a career in welding and some others would like to take their career to a new level. Basically welding is the process in which base metal parts are melted and joined using a filler material which has the same characteristics of the parent metal.

MIG welding, as most of us are aware, is a semi-automatic arc welding process in which a continuous, consumable wire electrode and a shielding gas are fed through a welding gun. At the end of the gun, there is a contact tip which passes electricity to the wire. Both the wire and shielding gas are activated to create the weld when the operator depresses the trigger of the gun.
